An intruder does not steal anything, cleans the house instead, says the owner

MARLBOROUGH, Mass. – When a Massachusetts homeowner came home and realized that someone had broken in, he was terrified. But after a quick search, he realized that the intruder had not taken anything; instead they had cleaned up.

The family actually found the house more fully equipped than when she left, reports WCVB-TV.

Nate Roman, 44, said he returned home to Marlborough with his 5-year-old son last week when he noticed that the back door was open.

"It was terrifying to know that there was someone at home," he said.

The invader at home made all the beds, stacked stuffed animals from his son and left a pink origami on the toilet paper.

"They cleaned everything up, they took the shower, the toilet," said Roman.

Roman said that every room in the house had been cleaned, with the exception of the kitchen.

"I was immediately worried about the presence of someone in the house," he said.

Confused and not knowing what to think, he called the police.

The Marlborough Police Department said the police took the case very seriously, but that they had no track or suspect in the case.

Roman thinks that because of the toilet paper roses, it was probably a cleaning service that went bad, but he took no chances and so changed all the locks in his home.
