Rumors about the return of a popular place Animal Crossing: New Horizons have resurfaced this week.

According to Animal Crossing World, “The Roost” apparently still has a chance of being added to Switch’s latest entry one way or another. News of the coffee’s possible return was initially reported last year, and the latest updates to the game (versions 1.10 and 1.11) reportedly contain even more evidence of its addition to the Museum section of the game.

First, a change to the camera settings has been made to the code reference ‘IdrMuseumCafe‘in version 1.11. This follows additions from the previous update to version 1.10 where the new camera settings for ‘IdrMuseumCafe‘have been spotted, along with a new reference to a third type of museum entrance known as the’IdrMuseumEnt03‘.

Another change spotted in version 1.10 was tweaks to ‘Museum Level‘EventFlow query that essentially made “space” for a new value to manage – one that would likely represent a new version of the museum building, possibly with a cafe.

Back to version 1.11 however, more progress was found on this’Museum Level‘find – a very curious’cNpcMemory: TalkProgressMuseumBuiltCafe‘is now associated and visible in the EventFlow for the construction of the museum. Of course, this is not used in any way.

Although the code appears to contain many references to a “Museum Cafe” – as usual, there is no guarantee associated with datamines like this. In saying that, it created a lot of excitement as to what Nintendo could have planned for the game in the future.

Along with the latest update earlier this week, Nintendo also said it has more content in development for New Horizons. Could it be a café-museum run by Brewster? Leave your thoughts below.
