Another Paradox game jumps to the table and exceeds Kickstarter target

After the so-so Crossed kings effort, another Paradox strategy title –Stellaris–is on his way to the board game after successfully reaching their Kickstarter fundraising goal.

Not that the goal was never questioned – for a great Kickstarter board game, that’s rarely the case – but still, at the time of publication, nearly 6,000 people have supported / pre-ordered it. one copy for approximately $ 940,000 in total funding.

Stellaris video game is a big 4X affair where you try to build a huge space empire and are responsible for everything from building stuff on the planets and diplomacy to researching and choosing which weapons to use for your spaceships .

The board game … is quite similar! What I especially like is that it has concurrent scheduling, which means a lot of the “I still think, give me a minute” downtime is removed. Also cool: Each game is only about two hours long, but you can build and continue your civilization over multiple sessions, dropping further down the research trees as you go.
