Bellator has hosted its most star-studded tournament yet.

Former UFC title challengers Anthony ‘Rumble’ Johnson and Yoel Romero will mark the Bellator Light Heavyweight World Grand Prix this year, the promotion announced on Tuesday.

The eight-player tournament kicks off April 9 at the Mohegan Sun, Conn., With the quarterfinals continuing on April 16.

In addition to Johnson and Romero, the grand prix slate will feature former UFC light heavyweight champion Lyoto Machida, Bellator heavyweight champion Ryan Bader, former UFC contenders Corey Anderson. and Phil Davis, and Bellator light heavyweight champion Vadim Nemkov.

Johnson and Romero, two recent UFC signings, will face off in the quarterfinals of the tournament on April 16. Nemkov will headline this April 16 card, putting his title on the line in the quarter-finals against Davis. On April 9, Bader v Machida will be in the headlines and Anderson v Dovletdzhan Yagshimuradov will serve as the main co-event.

Bellator’s first Card of the Year will take place on April 2 at the Mohegan Sun. This event will be titled by Patricio “Pitbull” Freire defending his featherweight title against Emmanuel Sanchez. This fight will act as a semi-final fight in the Bellator World Featherweight Grand Prix. The winner will face top notch prospect AJ McKee.

Juan Archuleta will defend his Bellator bantamweight title against Sergio Pettis on May 7, it was also announced on Tuesday. The announcements arrived via a live YouTube stream from Mohegan Sun, which also included Bellator’s new US broadcast: Showtime.
