The Braves acquired a right-handed lifter Anthony Swarzak and seamen's money Monday, sending wounded closer Arodys Vizcaíno and left-handed Jesse Biddle in Seattle.

Swarzak brings immediate help to Atlanta, while Vizcaino is out for the season after undergoing a right shoulder surgery in mid-April.

The 33-year-old, who has played 299 career games in 10 seasons in the Major League, averaged 5.27 in 15 selections for the Mariners this year.

Swarzak's best season was in 2017, when he had a 2.33 silver and 91 strikeouts in 70 appearances with the White Sox and Brewers.

The Braves are also separating from Biddle, 27, who had a strong rookie season last season. Biddle went 6-1 with an ERA 3.11 on 60 relief appearances in 2018, 67 on 63 2/3 innings. He had more difficulties in his second season, posting 5.40 m EUR in 15 caps for Atlanta before being designated for the posting Wednesday after returning from a bruise in his right thigh.
