"Our study is not a definitive guide to this, but a good starting point for a debate," wrote the authors, who used a combination of crowdsourcing and price analysis to create the report.
To determine the cities offering the best quality of life, Deutsche Bank ranked the candidates according to their purchasing power, regional crime and security, the overall quality of healthcare, the general cost of consumer goods, affordability of housing (calculated as real estate). price / income ratio), traffic congestion and travel times, global pollution and regional climate susceptibility.
Zurich is particularly distinguished by its purchasing power, security and pollution indices.
In the New Zealand capital, Wellington stood out for its relative price of real estate in relation to income, travel time and pollution.
And Copenhagen has achieved good results in safety, health care, travel time and pollution.
Zurich, the largest city in Switzerland, ranks second in terms of monthly salaries for the cities represented by Deutsche Bank, just behind San Francisco, which is useful considering that Zurich is also considered one of the places most expensive life.
In 2019, the average monthly after-tax salary of the citizens of Zurich was $ 5,896, or $ 6,625 less than in San Francisco. (The survey calculated wages "after taxes" or after taxes.)
