Anti-vaccines have sworn, perhaps jokingly in some cases, to turn to plants after a UK law firm said vegans could be exempted if companies decide to implement rules for compulsory vaccination against Covid-19.
Law firm Lewis Silkin told the Telegraph on Thursday it was likely ethical vegans would be protected under employment law if employers were to implement rules requiring their staff to be vaccinated.
The firm said that “Some ethical vegans may disagree with vaccinations on the grounds that they have inevitably been tested on animals,” adding that ethical veganism has been considered a belief by the labor court.
Lewis Silkin’s legal advice has been welcomed by many vaccine skeptics, who continue to fear widely administered and life-saving vaccines.
“Became vegan overnight, since I heard about the vaccine exemption”, a person noted on Twitter, while another wrote, “Hmmm, I could kill for a cucumber sandwich now” adding that a “Juicy smoked bacon sandwich” doesn’t sound so good anymore.

Some people were clearly upset by the reaction to the Telegraph story. While many claimed that most vegans were probably in favor of the injection, a Noted, “The most important aspect of veganism is the overall reduction of suffering. If you are also a vegan or vegetarian, PLEASE get vaccinated. “
Another Mark comments “depressing,” claiming that anti-vaccines can’t even “Sympathize with a human being and even less with an animal. “

In recent months, a number of UK companies have announced their intention to implement a “no jab, no job” Politics. Several bosses have claimed that their company’s ability to deliver their services safely would be compromised if their staff were not vaccinated against Covid-19.
Frankish Pimlico Plumbers boss Charlie Mullins said on Wednesday he would be ready to go to court to defend his vaccination policy, which is expected to go into effect in September.
