Antonino “Nino” Calamunci, 76, of Jamestown, NY, passed away on September 28, 2021, with his loved ones by his side.
He was born on January 14, 1945 to parents Carmelo and Carmela Calamunci in Tortorici, Sicily.
Nino graduated from Jamestown High School in 1963. Although he was never married, Nino spent many years with the late love of his life, Mary Kindred. After serving in the US Army, Nino worked in many local taverns and at Busty’s Shoe Repair for many years.
Nino is survived by his daughter, Carmella (Kasey) Calamunci (Warren, Pennsylvania); siblings: Connie (Leonard) Bartkowiak (Palm Harbor, FL), Grace Carroll (Hilton Head, SC) and Tindaro Calamunci (Tampa, FL); several nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his brother, Carl Calamunci; parents, Carmelo and Carmela Calamunci; and companion, Mary Kindred.
A visit followed by a service will take place on Tuesday, October 5, 2021, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., at the Hubert de Riccardi funeral home. Interment will be private.
