Apex Legends leaks reveal survival mode, new legends

As was the case with Fortnite, a community of modders has developed around Apex Legends to delve into its files in search of unannounced content.

Datamines reviewing Apex Legends files have found various references to new game modes, new characters (Legends) and even recent cosmetic content.

Of course, there is no guarantee that all this will be incorporated into the live game, as some might only be leftovers of discarded content, but it can be fun to take a look behind the curtain.

@RealApexLeaks found references to a very interesting new mode. Simply referred to as Survival in the game's files, the mode seems to have NPC viewers and commentators who will cheer on the players, and even perform some emoticons.

We do not know yet how this mode will unfold, nor even if these interesting features will eventually appear in the final version, but there is something interesting that you will not find in the other games of the Royal Battle .

Compared to the same mode, RealApexLeaks also found references to a replay system. This seems like a simple Kill rehearsal like what you might see in Call of Duty or Titanfall. As things stand, Apex Legends does not offer any kill replay system, although you are free to watch the remaining players after they die.

Speaking of new modes, @ ApexUpdate found entries in the game code that mention solo and duet modes. Apex Legends currently does not offer any modes other than three-player squads, but solos and duets were among the first demands of the players.

Respawn had already promised new characters in the first year of the game and, according to the new leaks, some of their abilities might have been unveiled in advance.

RealApexLeaks found entries for at least two heroes to come. The first one, called Octane, seems to have some sort of stimulation injection, but the description does not mention what it really does. Likewise, another one called Wattson and his ability is a deployable Tesla trap.

Finally, and not surprisingly for many, there will be Twitch Prime-Content exclusive. From the description, it appears that this will come in the form of a new Pathfinder skin and five Apex packs.

The first big drop of content for Apex Legends is scheduled for the month of March, with the launch of the Battle Pass. We will probably hear about some of them in the process.
