Apex Legends’ ‘Warden’ character idea would take healing to the next level

An Apex Legends character concept would bring a new medic in Respawn’s battle royale, offering competition to Lifeline and leveling support heroes to the next level.

Lifeline’s viability and popularity fluctuated throughout the lifespan of Apex Legends, but she has always remained the only medical character in the game.

We’ve seen new characters based on mobility, recognition, and speed, but never a legend based on healing. However, it’s not for lack of trying on the part of the fans.

However, one player took matters into their own hands and crafted a healing-based legend that would definitely shake up the meta, while also challenging Lifeline for the title of the game’s top doctor.

Lifeline is one of the original Apex legends.

Redditor ‘dvtheall’ designed the impressive Warden, a frontline goalie based on supporting his teammates and their recovery to full health.

Robotic figure similar to Pathfinder, Warden wears red and white overalls; apt given its emphasis on first aid.

In terms of abilities, the passive would be known as the Guardian Angel. This would allow Warden to send a device to downed teammates within a 60m radius to retrieve them from a distance, with the Legend itself stuck in animation until revival is complete.

The Legend’s Tactical would be called Transfusion Beam and would allow it to steal a target’s shield, depending on how long the beam is charged.

Finally, Warden’s Ultimate would be known as Resurrection Field. Placing a totem pole would trigger a 20m sphere, in which Warden’s team would receive a number of health benefits, including self-reanimation.

However, the totem would emit a noise and would therefore be susceptible to enemy destruction, ending the protective sphere.

Warden is a truly impressive sight, described by one fan as a combination of Revenant and Lifeline. It’s a rather unlikely combination, but we’d love to see this robotic support legend in Apex.
