Apple confirms ongoing outage affecting App Store and iTunes Store [U: Fixed]

Right after Snapchat’s outage, it looks like some Apple services are also having issues on Thursday night. Apple has just confirmed that the App Store and iTunes Store are not available for some users at this time, as noted on the System Status webpage on the Apple website.

Update (4:43 p.m. PT): Apple says the outage has now been corrected. You can read the original article below.

It’s unclear what caused the outage, but Apple says the App Store and iTunes Store may be slow or even completely unavailable for some users. So far, the company has not recognized any issues with its other online services, such as iCloud, Apple Music, or Apple TV +.

According to Apple, the outage began around 3:29 p.m. PT.
