Apple continues to soften the deal for Apple card owners with new refund options

Apple continues to soften the deal for Apple card owners with new cash back incentives. Walgreens is the latest company to join the company, which now offers 3% of funds to Apple Daily on purchases made in its stores (or Duane Reade stores, which it owns) instead of the usual 2%, via 9to5Mac.

Walgreens joins Uber and Uber Eats, who also added a 3% offer for the Apple card when the credit card was launched in August. The Apple Card typically offers a 1% cashback on card purchases or 2% for Apple Pay purchases. The 3% offer was originally offered only for purchases made directly by Apple.

It seems that the Walgreens offer is limited to purchases made with Apple Pay, which means that you will have to use the digital version of the card on an iPhone or an Apple Watch, and not the physical titanium card, to obtain the bonus. Nevertheless, if you have an Apple card, you already have an iOS device to use to pay, and the extra hassle of dealing with the account payment system is probably worth the free money that Apple and Walgreens offer here. .

This new agreement marks the latest benefit added by Apple to the Apple card since its launch. Although the company has not yet announced cash back projects, it appears that this type of partnership will continue to grow to encourage future Apple card customers to sign up.
