The March event of Apple could be entirely focused on services

After weeks of rumors, Apple has sent an official invitation for a launch event on March 25 at 10 am (Pacific time) at the Steve Jobs Theater, in the Cupertino headquarters. The slogan on the invitation to this event: "It's show time" followed by a black-and-white countdown reminiscent of a classic Hollywood movie – further proof that this event might relate to the video .

What to expect from the Netflix killer of Apple?

Do not expect new products at this event (Apple has already announced the creation of a new range of before the event), the main services, according to reports, will be the new services Apple's subscription.

According to a recent New York Times report, Apple could also face cultural shock when it comes to dealing with Hollywood. The secret nature of Apple seems to be one of the concerns of people working with the company, as stated in the report. We are used to the fact that the company is talking about its products stealthily, but apparently, even the other actors involved in Apple do not have much precision about the release time and marketing plans of some of its shows. The report also states that Apple has been sensitive to how technology, especially its own products, will be featured in the broadcasts.

But Apple can not rely solely on its own content to succeed. According to a Bloomberg report, the Cupertino giant is courting big names such as Showtime, HBO and Starz to join its streaming service. A player who is definitely out of the mix: Netflix. The company's CEO, Reed Hastings, has confirmed that the company would not be part of Apple's streaming service, and warned that the space would become very competitive very soon.

And do not expect a live sport on the service either. In one interview with Sports IllustratedApple Vice President Eddy Cue said the company was not interested in licensing sports content for the moment. Instead, they seem to have the intention of becoming a sort of intermediary between fans and action with an organized sports experience within the TV app.

Apple might even be willing to explore the possibility of offering its content for free to attract more glances on its services. Rich Greenfield, analyst for BTIG suggests The original Apple shows could be free for iOS users, with the ability to pay a subscription fee to add other providers to the service. Magazine service

The other great service announcement could be a subscription news service. Apple's news service would constitute a premium subscription plan to its current news application, which would allow users to view the content of different publishers (magazines and newspapers). And the last thing that Apple could announce during this event? A credit card. According to Bloomberg, iOS 12.2 will bring a co-branded Apple credit card in partnership with Goldman Sachs. Rumor has it that it looks a lot like a classic credit card, with rewards for purchase and cash back up to 2%. He would probably live in your wallet, the digital one.
