At the press conference in September, Apple announced that the titanium version was lighter than the stainless steel model, but that both models had the same weight on a technical specifications page.

Apple Watch Series 5

Apple had initially stated that the titanium Apple Watch would be 45% lighter than the stainless steel version. At the same time, it was stated that the Apple Watch made of titanium weigh as much as stainless steel – without proper specification. Apple has since updated the information with the correct weights and has reached percentages of online marketing materials.

The 44 mm Titanium Series 5 model weighs 35.1 grams, the 44 mm model weighs 41.7 grams, about 13 percent less than the stainless steel models.

Series 5 ceramic models weigh 39.7 grams for the 40mm model and 46.7 grams for the 44mm model, making them slightly lighter than the Apple Series 3 ceramic models. Aluminum watch series 5 of 40 mm and 44 mm weigh about the same weight as the Series 4 models, at 30.8 and 36.5 grams respectively.

Those who have pre-ordered the Apple Watch Series 5 can expect it to appear on Friday, September 20th with the new iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro. Apple has also created a new Apple Watch Studio, giving users the ability to pair their Apple Watch with the group of their choice. Apple Watch Studio is available on Apple's online store as well as in retail outlets.
