The third Democratic presidential debate drew an average of 14 million viewers on ABC and Univision on Thursday night, according to data released by the broadcaster – a strong performance and an index that the public interest in the 2020 elections is high.

Although it remains about 10 months before the Democratic National Convention 2020, the results of the debates revealed a continued interest of voters. A recent CNN poll also found voters in both parties are "extremely excited" to vote at levels that easily exceed previous election cycles.
Voters will not have to wait long for another event. The fourth debate is scheduled for October 15 (and possibly October 16 if enough candidates qualify) and will be co-hosted by CNN and the New York Times. It should take place in Westerville, Ohio.
