Apple sent media invitations for its annual event in September, during which it is expected to announce new iPhone models.

The event will be held on September 10 at the Steve Jobs Theater, located at Apple's headquarters in Cupertino, California.

According to numerous leaks and reports, Apple is expected to announce three new models of iPhone. There will be a successor to the cheaper iPhone XR and two "pro" models that will serve as upgrades for the iPhone XS and the iPhone XS Max.

Apple typically introduces a new Apple Watch at its September event as well, but little has been reported about what to expect. According to a recent rumor, Apple could present a new titanium model in addition to a ceramic Apple Watch.

Apple will probably use this event to talk more about the upcoming launch of its services this year. Apple Arcade was announced earlier this year and will provide unlimited access to certain games for a monthly fee. Apple TV +, Apple's new subscription-based streaming service, will also arrive in the fall. Apple has not yet announced how much it would cost, but the company plans to set it at $ 9.99 a month, according to recent reports. So far, Apple has shown only a few of the original series it plans to use for Apple TV +, and its library will not be as large as others like Netflix.

Meanwhile, other technology and media companies are preparing their own streaming services. The Disney, Disney + service will be launched this fall and features thousands of shows and feature films like Pixar, Star Wars and Marvel. It will cost you $ 6.99 a month. AT & T and NBCUniversal also plan to launch streaming services early next year.

Other Apple products, such as a new 16-inch MacBook and upgraded iPad Pro, are only expected later in the fall. Last year, Apple hosted a separate event in Brooklyn on October 30, where it launched a new Mac Mini, a MacBook Air, an 11-inch iPad Pro, and a 12.9-inch iPad Pro.

Disclosure: NBCUniversal is the parent company of CNBC.
