PHOENIX – Some 21,000 additional appointments will be available for registration starting Wednesday at the COVID-19 vaccination site at ASU’s Phoenix Municipal Stadium, the Arizona Department of Health Services announced Tuesday.
Registration will open at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, February 3. Appointments will be available Friday, Feb.5 through Thursday, Feb.18 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. for priority Arizonans, including first responders, healthcare workers and those 65 and older, the state said.

Appointments can be made on podvaccine.azdhs.gov. To locate a vaccination center near you, visit azhealth.gov/findvaccine
Last week, Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey signed an executive order to increase the state’s vaccination efforts and make more vaccines available. The problem, however, was the number of vaccines the state was able to receive.
To date, according to ADHS, more than 702,000 doses of the vaccine have been administered to more than 579,000 Arizonans, of which 109,000 have received both doses.

“We know the vaccine is in high demand and we expect appointments to be filled quickly,” said Dr Cara Christ, Director of ADHS. “Building on the success of the State Farm Stadium site, we are able to replicate these sites quickly to increase capacity when we receive the vaccine. Our only limiting factor is the amount of vaccine we receive from our federal partners. “
