A woman in Scottsdale, Ariz., Is livid after being injected with a COVID-19 vaccine at a California pharmacy without her knowledge or consent, believing she was receiving a flu shot.
Savannah Courtad said the confusion happened on September 14 at a Walgreens pharmacy in Fresno, Calif., And it left her confused and raped.
“A few days ago I went to Walgreens to get my flu shot. I arrived a bit early and filled out the necessary paperwork, signing up for the flu shot, ”Courtad posted on Instagram. “As I was given the injection, the nurse said nothing more than to ask me which arm I would like her to be in. Courtad said in his post.
Courtad said she literally “stopped in my tracks and asked, ‘I’m going to need a second dose?’ “. The nurse then assured her that she would, and Courtad continued to walk out of the pharmacy.
“That’s when I looked at the card she gave me. He said COVID-19 vaccine. I quickly rushed to the counter (my boyfriend and his mom came with me), ”Courtad said.
Courtad said the woman at the counter reassured her that she had in fact received the flu shot and that she had likely received the wrong vaccination card.
“She spoke to the nurse who gave me the injection and confirmed that no, the card was not fake. I received the COVID-19 vaccine instead, ”Courtad said. “They started saying ‘sorry we’re very busy’, ‘things like that happen sometimes’, and kept saying ‘we all make mistakes’.”
“I appreciate that they at least apologized, but it’s more than a ‘little’ mistake!” said Courtad.
“Nurses can’t just inject people with the wrong vaccine. I never gave my consent for the COVID-19 vaccine to be injected into my body. Regardless of everyone’s position on this vaccine, I hope we can all agree that injecting something into your body should be your CHOICE. I have the impression that my rights have been violated.
Courtad could not be reached for comment, although she pleaded on social media: “Please share this story to help me prevent this from happening to others!”
Walgreens did not return an email or phone call requesting comment on Monday.
Courtad told The Gateway Pundit that she plans to file a lawsuit against Walgreens.
“It’s absolutely a legal problem” and a “guaranteed victory,” said Ohio lawyer Jeff Renz, a vocal opponent of vaccines and COVID-19 warrants, who described Walgreens’ mistake as ” absolutely unacceptable “.
“It’s a blatant violation of his body. Now she has to live with anything [chemicals] they put it on for the rest of his life, ”Renz told The Epoch Times.
“How is it a mistake if they gave you the vaccination card?” ” he added. “If you can’t get the right prescription, I don’t know why I would want them [as a pharmacist]. “
Courtad’s social media post received over 174 sympathetic comments to his ordeal.
Babybluecrayon wrote: “I am devastated that this has happened to you. It seems like a slap in the face for you to give yourself the wrong thing, like I appreciate them apologizing, but it’s not an easy mistake to forgive. It is your health that they could potentially have ruined. Nonetheless, I’m glad you’re telling your story. I’d love to hear a follow-up story if you decide to do something more about this.
Sondrapower33 advised Courtad to “Warning! This is malpractice and you could be damaged without fully knowing it. And get into detox as soon as possible.
Kari Lake, a Republican candidate for governor from Arizona, tweeted, “I spoke to a woman in Arizona who went for a flu shot at a large drugstore chain. They gave him the Covid vaccine instead. They apologized for the “confusion”. She is devastated. She didn’t want the Covid vaccine. If you get a flu shot, check the vial BEFORE you get bitten.
In April, a Walgreens pharmacy in North Carolina reported that it mistakenly gave some people an injection of saline instead of a COVID-19 vaccine.
Also in April, a California woman mistakenly received the Moderna vaccine as a second dose, although her first dose was the Pfizer vaccine.
