We are gathered here today to mourn the loss of Olicity, between 2012 and 2019. This ship, as they say, finally sailed. Emily Bett Rickards, who played Felicity Smoak on Arrow since the first season, the third episode, she announced that she would not return for the eighth and final season of the CW series.
"Felicity and I are two very tight," wrote the actress in her announcement. "But after one to seven years, we'll say goodbye."
Rickards first appeared as Smoak – the first live adaptation of comic characters – in the episode of Season 1 "Lone Gunmen". has been an integral part of the Arrow team for seven seasons and some changes in reality. (Thank you, Barry.)
Oliver Queen himself, Stephen amell, revealed at the beginning of this month that Arrow would not return after season 8, but at sunset after a short return in ten episodes.
