ASL performer steals the show at Super Bowl National Anthem

Eric Church and Jazmine Sullivan weren’t the only ones to crush the national anthem ahead of Sunday’s Super Bowl.

Warren “Wawa” Snipe performed the song in American Sign Language and convinced fans in the process. He also performed during his performance of “America the Beautiful”.

“Known affectionately by many as Wawa, he pioneered as an acclaimed recording artist in the Hip Hop world and developed his own niche: Dip Hop, which he defines as’ Hip Hop Through Deaf Eyes’, the National Association of the Deaf wrote announcing that it would perform the anthem, as well as “America the Beautiful.”

The audience certainly loved Snipe’s passion.

“I love Eric Church and Jazmine Sullivan sang great but WOW did you see the performer at the top of the screen during the national anthem ?! That’s a BIG energy that I love !!” another person commented

Snipe, who starred in the “Black Lightning” television series, is a seasoned artist.
