Fortunately, it was not an emergency according to NASA.

Sick day

According to NASA, Mark Vande Hei, a current crew member aboard the International Space Station, suffered from a “minor medical problem”. A scheduled extravehicular activity (EVA) or spacewalk had to be delayed as a result, CNN reports.

NASA also said the problem “is not a medical emergency.”

Get rid of

The EVA was originally scheduled for Tuesday, but will now have to be rescheduled, according to CNN – suggesting that the problem is big enough that they can anticipate a day in advance that Vande Hei will not be up to the task.

The spacewalk will now take place after an upcoming SpaceX Dragon freighter resupply launch over the weekend.

Vande Hei traveled to the ISS aboard a Soyuz spacecraft on April 9 alongside cosmonauts Oleg Novitskiy and Piotr Dubrovnik.
