The offense clicked for Mahar’s women’s football team on Tuesday against Ware.

Senator Sienna Moore found the back of the net with 10:52 left in the first half thanks to a assist from Natalie Apteker and Moore scored again with 22:39 left in the second half.

Natalie Beloli scored Mahar’s third goal of the night with 17:40 left to lead the Senators to a 3-0 Grieve League victory at the Woodward Complex.

“It was our best effort of the season,” said Senators coach Chad Softic. “We matched Ware’s physique and we really brought it throughout the game. Anne Kolodziej had the goal for Franklin Tech, making a defensive play in the box and finishing from the baseline with 10 minutes left. Emma Elliot, Ella Kolodziej and Jill Crowningshield performed well in the loss while Emily Merritt made six saves for the Eagles.

St. Mary’s 3, Greenfield 0 – Makayla Valente made 11 saves as the Green Wave fell to the Saints 3-0 at Westfield on Tuesday.

Boys football

Ware 4, Mohawk Trail 2 – Leading 2-0 at halftime, Ware stormed and scored four second-half goals to secure a 4-2 victory over the visiting Warriors on Tuesday.

Porter Carr scored both Mohawk Trails goals, with Brett Summers assisting each of them. Connor Herzig made 12 saves for the Warriors goal.

Sabis 12, Athol 2 – Eric Kibarra, Kendall Wallace and Shaki Wheeler each had a hat trick to lead the Bulldogs to a 12-2 Schmid League victory over the Bears on Tuesday.

Ben Kearny scored both goals for Athol, with assists for Connor Mahony and Brent Boudreau. Holden Girouard made 20 saves in the loss.
