A goal from Sienna Moore in the 24th minute saw Mahar’s women’s football team secure a 1-0 victory over Frontier on Saturday at South Deerfield.

Natalie Belloli recorded the assist on Moore’s goal. Maddie Lloyd made six saves for the Senators and Cady Wells-Robinson made three saves in Frontier’s loss.

Youth Hockey

FCHA

Arlo Maden scored four goals, but FCHA Mite White lost to the Springfield Yellow Jackets, 10-9, on Saturday.

Lyla Burek had a hat trick while Bryce Urkiel and Harlon Hickey scored goals in the loss. Danielle Zraunig made 19 saves in goal for the Mites.

• The Dillon Chevrolet FCHA PeeWee team lost 7-1 to the Westfield Bombers on Sunday. Joey Dejnak scored the FCHA goal while Sasha Savinov performed well in the loss.

• The Gilmore and Farrell Squirts team beat the Springfield Yellow Jackets 7-6 on Sunday behind four goals and two assists from Asa Bouchard. Two of Bouchard’s goals came with less than two minutes left to gain the advantage.

Finn Coffin scored two goals and added an assist while Camden Kimball found the back of the net in the win. Preston Charbonneau stopped a late breakaway to keep the FCHA within striking distance.

• FCHA’s PeeWee Green fell to Holy Name, 6-4, on Saturday. Nico Siano and Ethan Ahnert each scored a goal and an assist while Chase Zraunig and Nick Constantine found the back of the net for FCHA. Nolan Kalinowski and Hayden Ardrey got assists in the loss.

On Sunday, PeeWee Green beat Brattleboro, 7-0, behind a Ben Johnson shutout. Zraunig and Constantine each scored a pair of goals. Ahnert scored a goal and an assist, Jack Boron and Siano scored goals and Logan Tyler, Stefan Flaska and Ardrey provided assists in the victory.

Youth football

The Franklin County PeeWee Bulldogs took a quick lead to beat Quabbin, 25-8, on Sunday.

Cameron McCaffrey, Ryan Wesort, Gavin Davis, Oumar Cisse and Jacob Richardson performed well on the line while Lukas Gexler, Silas Lively, Kayden Snow-Rose and Gunnar Triggs took care of the perimeter to keep Quabbin just eight points.

Baseball

The Franklin County Youth Baseball Green Goats split their games over the weekend, beating Westfield Gold, 4-2, but losing to Westfield Green, 11-10, on Sunday.

Tegan Dexter took the win with three strikeouts against Westfield Gold, Austin D’Urso recording a hit and two runs batted in and Philip Morin hitting two hits and an RBI for Green Goats.

Against Westfield Green, Urijah Jenness had three singles and struck out five on the mound. Joey Hutkoski had a hit and an RBI and Alex Blunck hit it safe in loss.

Golf

Timmons-Messer

George Northrop and Dan Castine shot the low gross of 37 in the Timmons-Messer league at Northfield Golf Course on Wednesday.

Rodney Ebbighausen and Norm LaCoy settled for second with a 40. Jack Letourneau and Rock Stempel won a card game against Ed Terault and Dave Phillips to record the weak net of 31.

Ebbinghausen won closest to the pin on number 6 (20 feet, eight inches) and Dave Snow won on number 7 (five feet, eight inches). Northrop was the game’s medalist with a 40.
