Moore responds to chemotherapy and radiation therapy that helped shrink his tumor

Moore responds to chemotherapy and radiation therapy which made it possible to reduce the size of his tumor, Channel 2 Action News reported Wednesday. This is a positive development that was discovered after doctors looked at his last brain scans.
Moore, who has worked for the station since 1998, wanted to share the update with the public and supporters.
Last month, Moore revealed that he had been diagnosed with glioblastoma, an aggressive and malignant form of cancer that can affect the brain or spine. Some of the symptoms include headaches, loss of appetite, blurred vision, and seizures.
There is currently no cure for the disease, but chemotherapy can be effective, which Moore did. In April, the veteran anchor shared in a segment on Channel 2 Action News that she suspected her health might have been compromised after being disoriented and forgetful, leGrio Previously reported.
An MRI confirmed there were two small tumors on his brain. She then underwent surgery which took 10 weeks to recover.
“It’s important,” she addressed the audience. “It’s going to be a lot. Two small tumors pretty close together, and they had to go. We then had to start having a conversation about what it was and what it meant.
Moore is currently undergoing treatment at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta under the care of her surgeon, Dr. Edjah Nduom. Nduom performed brain surgery on Moore and got permission from Moore, 53, to speak about his condition.
“As a neurosurgeon, we like to be proud of our skills and what we can do with our hands. (Glioblastoma) is not something I can cure with surgery alone. The reason is that gliomas, and glioblastoma in particular, have these tentacles that go beyond the lesions we can see on a CT scan and beyond what we can see with our operating microscopes, ”Nduom said. in July.
Nduom added that Moore was “in a good mood, she was with her friends and family as always”.
WSB-TV Director of Community and Public Affairs Condace pressley, who has known Moore for two decades, praised her as a “fighter.”
“We laugh and you know sometimes, we talk about things and we can cry a little bit, but at the end of the day, she’s a fighter, and she’s surrounded by love and prayers and positivity,” said Pressley. Channel 2 Justin Farmer in an interview last month. “She is a very strong woman and she is raising three very strong children who are, like all of us, right there with her.”
Pressley shared that Moore was encouraged by the outpouring of love, support and prayers that lifted her spirits.
“Love, prayers, positivity are welcome. She feels it and we have to keep doing it, ”Pressley said.
