Newton County, Ga. – Kroger customers may want to check their bank or credit card statements after their deputy ministers said that an employee had stolen personal information from at least 100 clients.
This happened at the store along Salem Road in Covington. This is where the authorities arrested the former employee.
"It's shocking and very disturbing," said customer Delaney Kenner.
The deputies said Channel 2 Audrey Washington Desmeiyon Meadows worked in the store's financial center.
Investigators testified that when they looked at Meadows' mobile phone, they found pictures of checks,
Security and debit cards and even third-party driver's licenses.
"Unfortunately, there are people today who are doing this sort of thing to try to make money," said client Steve Black.

Members said that Meadows did not work alone.
The investigators filmed in Washington the surveillance video of the man who they said had worked with Meadows to defraud the clients. They hope someone recognizes his face and returns it.
Washington went Sunday to Covington 's stated address for Meadows to see if anyone at home would talk about fraud and identity theft accusations that the former employee of New York City. a grocery store is now facing.
Nobody came to the door when she hit.
"There will always be individuals who will try to find a way to get that information," Kenner said.
She told Washington that she was shopping at the store several times a week and that she was feeling a little uncomfortable now.
"I always check my bank account to see if there are any suspicious charges and things like that," Kenner said.
Newton County MPs in Washington said they needed Kroger's customers to check their accounts.
