August 30: Plumas Public Health announces 34 new cases

The Plumas County Public Health Agency announced tonight, August 30, that there were 34 new cases to report. The health agency publishes positive test results twice a week – Mondays and Thursdays. As of Thursday, August 26 (the last day of the report), 54 cases were reported.

The Plumas Unified School District announced today that it has a positive test associated with Portola Junior Senior High School.

The cases reported today are as follows:

Thirteen cases for the southern region (Quincy / Meadow Valley): eleven cases confirmed on August 27; and two confirmed today, August 30.

Eight cases for the eastern region (Graeagle / Portola): four cases confirmed on August 27; and four confirmed today, August 30.

A Northern region case (Greenville / Indian Valley): confirmed today August 30.

Twelve Western region cases (Chester / Almanor Lake): eleven confirmed on August 27; and one confirmed today, August 30.

The total confirmed number of coronavirus cases in the county to date is 1,017.
