The body of missing Hobart father Elson Kiddle has been found after he went missing on Friday.
The 70-year-old father of four had last been seen leaving his home at Hobart suburb West Moonah on Friday morning to play golf.
He was reported missing that afternoon.
Mr Kiddle’s car was on Monday morning found at nearby bush tracks leading to the foothills of Mount Wellington.
It prompted extensive searches of the area by family and friends, SES crews, police, a sniffer dog and a rescue helicopter.
About 70 people re-entered the bushland this morning, turning search efforts to water sources in the area.
Mr Kiddle’s body was found at about 1.30pm in bushland about 2.5km from Lumeah Avenue, police said.
In an online statement, police said they believed there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding Mr Kiddle’s death.
It appeared he may have been deceased for several days.
Police thanked those involved in the search.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
