A prison escapee remains on the run

One of the five prisoners who escaped from a West Australian jail during a riot is still on the run.

West Australian police confirmed that Bradley Silvester, 35, was the last escaped after the bursting of 10 prisoners from Greenough Regional Jail near Geraldton at 4:30 pm yesterday (local time )

This morning the authorities identified the five prisoners who remained on the run overnight

Devon Comeagain, 23, was located by the authorities this morning, and Allan McDonalds was located at Rangeway at 11:30. (local time)

Brendan Bartley, age 22, and Darryl Advisor, age 18, attended the Geraldton Police Station at 1:00 pm (local time) and were taken into custody.

Local police were called to jail around 4:30 pm yesterday (local time) following reports of a disturbance at the facility.

When the officers arrived, it was discovered that 10 prisoners in total had managed to escape.

Smoke was seen at the jail as detainees escaped, residents confessing to 9NEWS that they were hearing screams, megaphones and searchlights.

The authorities have yet to confirm how the detainees escaped but warned the public that they could act unpredictably.

Residents and drivers were asked to make sure their doors and windows are locked.

"We urge the public to keep their safety in mind," a spokesman for the WA police said in an "urgent" video posted online last night.

"S & # Ensure that the doors and windows of their premises are secure. "As the police become aware of additional information, we will provide updates."

The prison, which goes from maximum to minimum, houses both men and women.
