Girls attending public elementary and secondary schools in New South Wales will have the opportunity to wear shorts or pants under new policy changes.

Schools will also be scheduled to give parents at least three years' notice before introducing changes in expensive items such as blazers, in an effort to protect against rising costs. 19659005] This is the most important overhaul of the uniform policy for more than a decade
The old document established in 2004 – which had 24 pages – has now been reduced to two pages only.
The policy requires that all school items be "affordable, comfortable and suitable" for all body types.
A father who spoke to ABC Sydney Breakfast said his daughter would probably still wear dresses.
"I can not get him to wear pants on the weekends, let alone in school," said Martin.
