West Coast towns marked Remembrance Day on Sunday with a service to remember the armistice to end World War I.

On the 100th anniversary of the end of the war, towns and cities including Ceduna, Streaky Bay, and Elliston stopped to commemorate those who served and died for their country.

A warm morning and large crowd greeted the Ceduna service, which was led by Reverend Barry Luke and Ceduna RSL sub-branch president Brenton Bergmann.

The service – hosted at Soldiers Memorial Park – fell silent at 11am to mark the moment the war ended in 1918.

Wreaths were laid at the cenotaph, with community members then enjoying lunch at the RSL Hall.

Ceduna's RSL branch was selling poppies at the Ceduna Memorial Hall on Thursday and also had a display of honor and service from the region.
