A BUSY Gold Coast was closed by police after a concrete truck lost control and it crashed on a steep embankment in the hinterland from the city this morning

just before 6am. Rd and Mount Tamborine Rd, in Tamborine Mountain

It is understood that the truck squeezed between two trees and was left half suspended on a steep embankment

When Emergency Services arrived, the two occupants were able to leave

The police say that the road will be closed from 9h to 13h while the truck will be recovered.

"There will be no access on this road for this period," said the police. informed that alternative access can be obtained through Canungra or Oxenford via the Henri Roberts Drive.

The Queensland Ambulance treated the driver and pbadenger for injuries.
"The damage to the vehicle caused the fuel to run, nothing exte nsive, and no hose or foam was used for cleaning, but the crews remained on the scene," said a QAS spokesperson

"A truck was used to clear the truck."

The driver was transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition, with injuries not putting him not his life in danger.
