A 14-year-old boy suffered severe burns to the thighs, bads and abdomen during a test of courage Friday night in Marchtrenk in the district of Wels-Land. Four boys aged 13 and 16 had had the idea of removing pubic hair with gasoline and fire, the police confirmed a report from the "Kronen Zeitung" (Saturday edition) .
The four boys secretly met Marchtrenker Elementary School to prove their courage to each other. A 14-year-old apparently wanted to win the test of courage. He took off his clothes, let himself be covered with gasoline by a friend and another took out a lighter. This created a flame that injured 14 years on the thighs, bads and stomach. But the boys did not seek help, but returned home.
Only about three hours later, the injured man turned to his father because of the intense pain. This brought the teenager immediately to the Wels Hospital. The doctors detected second-degree burns. The teenager was operated according to the police. In the next few days, it will prove to be, if the 14-year-old must also undergo skin grafts.
