According to the regional traffic police department, five motorcyclists on Tyrol's roads have already been fatally injured – four men and one woman. More recently, a German died on the Brenner Highway near Innsbruck. The man hit the opposite lane in a curve Saturday with his 180 horsepower motorcycle and crashed into a bus.
Too much speed, too short a distance, dangerous maneuvers, overconfidence and bends are the most common causes of motorcycle accidents. The bikers also come innocently to the kiss of the hand, they are neglected by other road users. (TT)
