Five policemen injured in pursuit

In Wiener Neustadt, there was a pursuit Sunday afternoon. A 29-year-old driver resisted an inspection and caused an accident in which five police officers were injured.

The police wanted to check against a vehicle parked in Wiener Neustadt in a stop. The driver had resisted this check and had fled at high speed on the road from Pottendorfer to Eggendorf, says police spokesman Walter Schwarzenecker. He brushed a policeman with his vehicle, which was injured. A second policeman was able to escape with a side jump.
