Blatant Einschleichdieb bribes Innviertler in need

The 27-year-old had shamelessly exploited the impotence of an old Innviertler. As the door was not locked, the Romanian returned home Tuesday afternoon and stole money from the retiree's wallet, which was in his sickbed. Then he was driven by taxi to Mattighofen, where he bought a mobile phone.
When the frail 87-year-old man noticed that there was someone in the house, the intruder claimed that he was hungry, police said. He glanced serenely into the house and finally found the resident's wallet on the kitchen table and took the money.
The mother recovered some damage
According to the investigators, a surveillance video shows that he then went by taxi to a store and that he bought a cell phone with the stolen money.
The unemployed offender was arrested Wednesday at 2 pm in the municipality of Mattighofen (Braunau District), police said in the evening. After the interrogation, the mother of the 27-year-old paid full compensation, the police said.
