Maaßen speaks of "radical leftists" in government

Maaßen expressed his thanks in the speech, according to "Spiegel" especially for the support of the Federal Minister of the Interior and leader of the CSU, Horst Seehofer.

The speech has been read since October 24 in the protected area of ​​the intranet for all employees of the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution.

In fact, Maaßen should be special advisor to the Minister of the Interior, Horst Seehofer, for the European and international tasks – at the same salary as today's leader of the BfV, at the rank of head of department. Obviously, this transfer will no longer be possible.

Heavy crisis of the coalition

Maaßen, because of his comments on the xenophobic riots in Chemnitz, evacuated his post as head of the Constitution. He had doubted the authenticity of a video. This sparked a serious coalition crisis in September, which almost led to the breakdown of the government alliance. The replacement of Mabadens following controversial statements at the head of the secret service and its promotion initially planned for a Secretary of State with a salary of more than 14,000 euros per month had caused great indignation. The three party leaders of the Grand Coalition – Angela Merkel, Horst Seehofer and Andrea Nahles – then had to resume this agreement.
