CNN sued the White House for locking out reporter Jim Acosta. In a suit filed Tuesday in Washington, the broadcaster claims that the suspension of accreditation is a violation of constitutional rights of Acosta and CNN, said the broadcaster on its website.
The White House had justified the move by claiming that the 47-year-old journalist had wrongfully touched a White House intern at a tumultuous press conference given by President Donald Trump last week, which wanted to take the microphone. The president had previously cut short and offended Acosta by asking questions about immigration policy and the case surrounding Russia's possible influence on Trump's 2016 US election campaign. After the scandal, the presidential office Acosta withdrew its accreditation.
At the first press conference following the congressional elections, Trump showed entrepreneurial spirit when he said he was ready to cooperate in a non-partisan way. But the feeling quickly changed and he issued warnings against the Democrats.
Criticism of interrogative questions
