Landeck, flow, smile, punch – give up the car? It is not so easy. In many rural communities, you need to be patient if you use public transportation.

With the change of schedule on December 9, some improvements are affecting Grins communities, punching and flow. Commuters, who often have trouble getting on the train in the morning, should benefit.

"Specifically, there is an extra bus in the morning, which arrives in Landeck so you can reach the Regional Express at 6:05 and therefore already at 7:02 in Innsbruck," said Alexander Jug, CEO of VVT, when presentation of improvements.

And even at the end of the afternoon, connections adapted to train schedules have been added. At 16:40, buses wait for commuters who want to return home to Grins and Fließ after work. For punching, there is a new connection at 17:40. "Once again, to continue driving from Innsbruck," Jug said. In addition, with the change of schedule at 1:40 pm, a direct bus linking Grins and Fliess has been set up, which should be particularly encouraging for schoolchildren.

In total, the additional bus routes negotiated as part of the city-region cooperation cost more than 100,000 euros per year. This amount is shared between the municipalities, the VVT ​​and the province of Tyrol, each third.

"It has been almost ten years since we brought more and better traffic to Fliess, and for the rural areas, public transport is particularly important – the fact that this goal has been achieved is mainly due to the development badociation. A child with problems in public transport remains however the evening and the weekend. The last bus leaves from Landeck at 18:40 or 18:45 in the three localities.
