The sale of three historic buildings in the center of Bad Gastein (Pongau) was finalized on Wednesday. Governor Wilfried Haslauer (ÖVP) has signed contracts with the Hirmer Real Estate Group in Munich.
It will occupy the three vacant buildings of the Straubingerplatz in Bad Gastein for decades. A purchase price of 7.5 million Euros has been agreed with the Province of Salzburg. The governor of the province, Wilfried Haslauer, is satisfied with the renovation of the Gastein center in the near future.

Badeschloss, Post and Hotel Straubinger must be converted into 4-star superior or 5-star hotels within three years of the availability of all permits. "We have found an investor who is firmly committed to the use of tourists, so in the foreseeable future of Straubingerplatz, rehabilitated and rebuilt," said Governor Haslauer.

After signing the preliminary agreement on the shares of Straubingerplatz Immobilien GmbH in July, Hirmer has established with the relevant authorities and institutions the technical and legal feasibility of a high quality tourist project in the area of 39 luxury hotels (upper segment category) tested.
The purchase price of the shares of Straubingerplatz Immobilien GmbH, amounting to 7.5 million euros, corresponds exactly to the funds used by the State or by the Salzburg Growth Fund for the purchase. As a result, the state of Salzburg will not suffer any losses as expected, according to information provided by the Office of the Governor and Tourism Officer, Wilfried Haslauer. The Buyer accepts the badignment agreement for the establishment of a commercial hotel business in the 4 star superior or 5 star category within three years of obtaining the necessary permits.
