Before the IPO scheduled for next year, the AirBnB online apartment platform has been broken in Amazon's climates. Dave Stephenson will be the new CFO in early January, announced AirBnB tonight. Since February, the San Francisco-based company is without a financial affairs officer.
At Amazon, where Stephenson worked for 17 years, he had recently held the positions of vice president and chief financial officer for international online commerce. Financial investors estimate the value of AirBnB at about 31 billion dollars (27.3 billion euros). More recently, the company has launched new services, such as luxury apartments, to stimulate growth.
In addition to Stephenson, Jason Warnick, veteran of Amazon, is also the largest online retailer in the world. In the future, he will act as financial director of online securities dealer Robinhood. Amazon was not available to comment.
