Fire drama in Gmünd

In Gmünd, three people were rescued from a burning house this morning.
Both women and a man were admitted with suspected flue gas into Gmünd hospital, said a police spokesman on request. According to Franz Resperger of the National Command, five dams with 78 aids were in action.
The fire, according to information provided by the ORF, was declared around 6 am in the stairwell of the building. The man and a woman were on the floor at that time, another woman on the ground floor. The trio could not get away because of the smoke, but warned the fire department, so Resperger. The two people on the upper floor were rescued by the emergency services by means of winches.
The fire was quickly amortized and the extinction of the flames worked, according to Resperger, also a fire department of the Czech Republic, Ceske Velenice. According to the police, the amount of damage was unknown, as well as the cause of the flames.
