11 years forgotten by bus: happy ending for bus drivers

Vienna. Arthur Altbart, 11, son of the famous Viennese funeral director Heini Altbart, is asleep in the school bus on his way back from Pressbaum to Mauerbach. The bus driver, for 28 years in this workplace, has forgotten this evening for the first time, after leaving all rows of seats to control.

Alone at the cemetery. A few hours later, Arthur woke up and was caught at minus three degrees on the parking lot located right at Mauerbacher Cemetery in the locked bus. By mobile phone he called his parents who, with the help of the mayor of Mauerbach, Peter Buchner, drove the driver who quickly released Arthur.

The bus driver does not leave

Arthur asked his favorite driver not to be fired. The bus driver Zuklin was upset by the driver: "The boy could have been frozen", but seems strong "ouf.at" after being fired.

The incident has consequences for the bus driver anyway. In the future, he will take a different route, including to Klosterneuburg, where he will have to leave the bus unlocked in the premises of the company after the end of the service.
