The new Evoque with a reduced design and a soft hybrid system

Transmission technology is focused on the future: with the exception of the entry-level diesel engine, all engines – turbocharged 2.0-liter, gasoline and diesel 150 hp – soft hybrid , with 48 volt electrical system and belt start generator. In addition, a plug-in hybrid with a 1.5-liter three-cylinder gasoline engine coupled with a power supply unit.
The off-road talents will not be left out, the Evoque inherited the 2nd generation 4×4 system from Grand Rangie. In addition comes a new electronics. It starts with the full LED lights and does not stop with the adaptive cruise control: the limited rear view of the body meets Land Rover with an electronic rearview mirror (display directly in the rearview mirror), a camera in the rear of the car. Sharkfin antenna delivers the images. Off-road badistance is provided by a "transparent" hood: cameras project ground images onto the infotainment system screen.
Land Rover organized the first deployment in the style of the house: in the winding corridors, storage rooms and ponds of an old brewery in East London. A terrain that has clearly demonstrated the agility of the steering, finely balanced balance, increased body stiffness, climbing ability (uphill and downhill) and diving talent (fording depth of 600 millimeters).
