Ranshofen. At a meeting held on 28 November 2018, the Supervisory Board of AMAG Austria Metall AG elected a new Managing Director. Gerald Mayer, business economist and tax advisor, succeeds Helmut Wieser.
Wieser decided to replace its term on the Management Board at the end of February 2019 as part of succession planning. Until then, however, he supports AMAG as a consultant. Mayer has already held various management positions within AMAG. As of March 1, 2019, he will be the new Executive Director.
