After being held back yesterday during the interrogation of the Home Secretary, Herbert Kickl (FPÖ) within the Subcommittee on Causality of the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution and Corruption (BVT), the head of the parliament of the ÖVP, Werner Amon, was fired abruptly into the interior. He suggested the temporary suspension of Secretary General Peter Goldgruber.
This wish was based on unpopular statements by Justice Minister Josef Moser (ÖVP) in the committee. He reported that there were several suspects and defendants in the BVT case, including General Secrets Goldgruber of Kickl. This is conducted as a suspect. Interior Minister Kickl apparently was only partially informed of events in the BAT case, said Amon, who suggested a temporary suspension.
The pending cases in Korneuburg, which had been known for a long time, were also a central issue for the second person on the committee. For prosecutor Ursula Schmudermayer, who had "the honor" to be interviewed for the third time, she did not want to speak for the first time of all things – the reason: she is also in Korneuburg as alleged suspect, in particular because of misrepresentations before the U committee. Therefore, the prosecutor in charge did not want to comment on the questions that had already been put to him.
Even if this did not please the MEPs or the judge of the procedure, Schmudermayer remained in their place in their own right. However, she did not give a few details. For example, she stated that Goldgruber had stated, in terms of content, to have the order to "tidy up". The literal protocol was not that.
Moser avoided the critics
The questioning of the Minister of Justice, Moser, who has certainly focused on the cause, has not been particularly fruitful either. The head of the department avoided the allegations against the prosecutor and the department of the interior.
After all, he stayed in his already well-known position that one should choose a different approach in the future with the delicate Causen. He found it "appropriate" for the Attorney General's office to be involved in investigations of institutions of particular interest. In this case, it did not happen because the law does not provide for it. Journalists should in the future be informed in writing of the idea of Moser, which did not materialize in the BVT case, even before the house search was approved.
As a result of investigative pressure in the case, Moser extinguished. Otherwise, there would probably have been no request for a home search late at night. Above all, Udo Lett, Goldgruber's closest badociate, reportedly put pressure on the suspensions. The minister does not consider such an approach to be trivial.
