Sabine Breitwieser bids farewell to the Museum der Moderne with the 72-year-old "Weltreisenden" retrospective, Anna Boghiguian.
An avid traveler, a nomad of art, is temporarily settled in the Salzburg Rupertinum. Anna Boghiguian, 72, has Armenian roots, her father was a watchmaker. She studied political science and art in Cairo in the 1960s, then moved to Montreal, where she also trained as a musician. As a participant in the Kbadel Documenta 2012 and the Venice Biennale 2015 (where she was honored for her contribution to the Armenian Pavilion with the Golden Lion), she has attracted international attention. But only now, she comes to a museum institution at first honors in the German-speaking region.
