On Monday, a valuable painting of the Vienna Dorotheum was stolen by a visitor. What work is, has not been announced.
At the Vienna Dorotheum, a valuable painting was stolen. This was reported by the ORF in the broadcasts "Wien heute" and "Zeit im Bild". As a result, it could be a Renoir chef de oeuvre. The auction house confirmed at the station an art theft, but gave no other information.

The police also revealed no information referring to ongoing investigations. A visitor would have taken Monday, said in the televised report, the image taken in the Dorotheum from the wall and take away.
A painting by Renoir, a coastal landscape, worth an estimated 120,000 to 160,000 euros, should have been auctioned tomorrow. The photo would no longer be displayed at the Dorotheum, even online, it was no longer in the catalog, reported the ORF. At the Federal Office of Criminal Police, the APA's request has not been commented.
