On Saturday afternoon, a traffic accident involving two minor injuries occurred on the main road 20 at Piding.
A 79-year-old man from Piding wanted to turn his car from Salzburger Straße to the right on the B 20 towards Freilbading a 48-year-old driver in her Citroen, who traveled with her 12-year-old son also to Freilbading. Bavarian Gmain's wife was unable to prevent the collision despite full braking and a retreat. In the accident, the mother and son were slightly injured. They were treated on the accident site by the ambulance service, but did not need to go to the hospital. The Piding fire brigade was with 16 men and two vehicles at the scene of the accident and supported with the binding of expired supplies as well as traffic control.
