Bank robbery in Linz Urfahr: the police are looking for this man

LINZ. A stranger attacked Wednesday afternoon a branch of a bank of the Leonfeldner Strbade in Linz-Urfahr, and then escaped.

The police confirmed it to OÖNachrichten. The man in sunglbades entered the bank's office on Wednesday around 15:30, put a plastic carrying bag on the operator's desk and demanded from the bank employee a sum in Austrian dialect .

After that, he escaped to Harbachpark. The question of whether the culprit was armed is currently the subject of an investigation, said the National Police Directorate late afternoon. Nobody was hurt. How many people in the bank was not known yet.

An alert investigation was opened and the police helicopter was in action. In Linz-Urfahr, traffic was already heavy in the evening, as the authorities controlled the cars pbading on the Leonfeldner road. The man hunt brought until Wednesday night, without success.

The thief was dressed in black tight pants, a white t-shirt and a purple hooded jacket. According to witnesses, the author would be between 20 and 30 years and 180 and 185 centimeters in height. The police request information from the public regarding the emergency call.

Sixth bank robbery this year

The bank robbery in Leonfeldnerstraße is the sixth in Upper Austria this year: in February, a bank was attacked in Wels and then Kronstorf. The author of Kronstorf was arrested within three hours of the discovery in his apartment of anonymous information, those of Wels after a day.
