The coalition celebrates the new minimum income

Two or 30 years
In the fall of 2019, emergency badistance will be reformed as the next big project. The minimum income is social badistance, emergency badistance a life insurance benefit. Recently, the SPÖ warned that the government may soon have access to the badets of emergency workers.
Yesterday, the government accused the SPÖ of acting as a pollster. It is not expected that the emergency help for the unemployed older is removed and that in the future they will receive only a minimum income, the insured Kurz and Strache. Someone who has been paying for 10 to 15 years and is unemployed at age 40 should not be covered by the minimum wage. This would also ensure that not as in the minimum income badet is accessed, the times would be counted for the pension, Strache said.
Heavy criticism
The SPÖ and the union warned of the deterioration. "This is not a good day for Austria," said SP spokeswoman Josef Muchitsch. Poverty is exacerbated by this. The Neos lobbied for a pooling of the minimum income and the urgency.

Reform
The minimum income should be 863 euros per month for singles and 1208 euros for couples. He is paid twelve times a year. Federated states can take into account housing costs, for example high rents in Innsbruck or in the city of Salzburg. Grants of 259 euros are possible, which corresponds to a minimum income of 1122 euros.
For children, the amounts must be staggered: for the first child, 25% (215 euros),
15 (129 euros) for the second child and 5% (43 euros) of the third child's net compensation allowance.
For single parents, there are additional supplements ranging from 100 to 25 euros per month per child. People with disabilities should receive a supplement of 18% (155 euros).
Immigrants with insufficient knowledge of German or English should be reduced to 563 euros. Unlike 300 euros, language courses must be financed. For proof with the social service, one needs a language certificate, a compulsory degree with German as the main language of instruction or the presidency with the authority.
For third-country nationals and citizens of the EU and the EEA, the government provides for a waiting period of five years. EU citizens with shorter legal residence have full access to social badistance only if, for example, they are employed in Austria. Asylum-seekers are entitled to minimum income protection only from the moment they obtain refugee status.
The limit without badets is increased to 5200 euros. Access to the house (registration in the land register) will not take place after six months, but after three years. Beneficiaries of social badistance should be allowed to save time for a limited period.
